Here at Baggy Bassets & Mini Dachshunds, we focus on the healthiest, most unique, and highest quality basset hounds and mini dachshunds with the best temperaments because they are HIGHLY socialized with the PUPPY CULTURE program and started immediately on potty training! We are really excited to take this journey! All of our dogs are genetic tested and only bred if they pass scrutinous genetic testing. We adhere to the highest breeding standards and even do more genetic testing than the AKC recommends. We only breed health tested bassets that have the best possible health and temperaments. We used to use GoodDog to advertise however we left a couple of years ago. They seem to only care now about money and their fees.

 

As a breeder, I refuse to use collars to recognize each puppy. You may see other breeders use collars and/or colors to identify their puppies. If you know me at all as a breeder, you know each litter gets a theme and each puppy gets a name. I get to know my puppies by their individual markings. If your breeder isn't taking the time to know them and give them names other than color identifiers, I promise your breeder isn't getting to know their puppies. We don't believe in over vaccinating. Puppies receive dewormings and nosodes while in my care. They are extremely healthy and happy hounds! Puppies come with a baby blanket that smells like home and their family, AKC papered, microchipped, toys, puzzles, food, and paperwork!

Puppies are raised & started potty training in our home in Show Low Arizona but we also have family in Mesa and travel back and forth so we can arrange pick up in the either location. Videos are available to see on our youtube account & facebook page- Baggy Bassets & Mini Dachshunds. 

Puppies are priced depending on color, uniqueness of markings, amount of European in the lines, and pet versus breeding prices. But all my adults are genetic tested against Thrombopathia, X link, Lafora, POAG (glaucoma). We do more genetic testing than is recommended by AKC! We are also actively trying to produce IVDD free puppies. No other breeder is even trying to produce IVDD free puppies. Saying if they did, they would be tall. So, they are ok with a serious disease in their program so they can produce short dogs. No thank you. So, all of my puppies are guaranteed to be free of these diseases and I'm working diligently on IVDD free breeding stock as well. Please inquire for breeding rights prices.
